How to
color Rice and Macaroni
Cover rice or macaroni
with rubbing alcohol. Add food coloring. Let set for a while. When
desired color is reached spread on waxed paper until dry.

Putty
2 parts white glue (Elmer’s)
1 part Sta-Flo liquid starch
Mix glue and starch well. It needs to dry a bit before it is workable.
Store in an airtight container. If you use Elmer’s School Glue instead of
regular white it doesn’t bounce or pick up pictures, but it makes a gooey
delight your kids will love.

Paint Brush
Mix food colors in several small containers of melted butter. Brush butter
on to bread and put in the toaster or toaster oven. A masterpiece to eat!

Salt Dough
1 cup salt
4 cups flour
1 ½ water
4 Tablespoons
Mix flour and salt. Add water and oil slowly to the dry ingredients,
stirring with spoon until well blended. Knead dough until soft and pliable.
Sculpt objects or use cookie cutters. Bake 45 minutes at 300° oven until
hard. Paint with acrylic paints or vanish if desired.
